WENDY'S MOVES ACCOUNT TO MACLAREN MCCANN
By Adnews Staff
Wendy's Restaurants of Canada has moved its national advertising business from Bates Canada to MacLaren McCann Canada Inc. The move follows Wendy's International's appointment of McCann-Erickson WorldGroup as the agency of record for Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburger Restaurants in the U.S. in August. MacLaren McCann will take over strategic planning, creative services, media planning and media buying for Wendy's 344 restaurants in Canada. The account will be serviced by the agency's Toronto office. "We are moving our account to take full advantage of the integrated marketing resources of the McCann Erickson network and the synergies between our business in Canada and the U.S.," said Bob Levite, vice-president of marketing at Wendy's International. Wendy's Canadian marketing plans for 2003 have been completed, Levite said.
