TORSTAR MEDIA GROUP BEGINS AGO CAMPAIGN

Torstar Media Group has begun an integrated advertising campaign for the Art Gallery of Ontario. The campaign, which is running in various Torstar print properties, is intended to generate awareness and increase ticket sales for the exhibition Gauguin to Matisse: French Masterpieces from Russia's Hermitage Museum. This exhibition will open on Oct. 12 and run until Jan. 5, 2003. A four-page advertising supplement printed by Toronto Metro will be distibuted in The Toronto Star, The Hamilton Spectator, The Record and The Guelp Mercury newspapers in November. A series of ads in The Toronto Star, Toronto Metro and eye Weekly this fall will support the supplement, as will an in-paper Gauguin to Matisse word search puzzle in Toronto Metro and a two-sided ad attached to the cover of Starweek Magazine in October. The Art Gallery of Ontario used M2 Universal to organize the campaign.
