CINAR PRESIDENT AND CEO TO STEP DOWN

Barrie Usher will resign as president and chief executive officer of Cinar Corp. on Sept. 15. Usher will also give up his role as a director of Cinar. He will be replaced in the interim by George Rossi until a new president and CEO can be appointed. Rossi is senior vice-president and chief financial officer of Cinar.
