NEWAD SETS UP SHOP IN VANCOUVER ARENA

Toronto-based media company NewAd has struck a deal to install 250 advertising display faces in General Motors Place in Vancouver. The financial details of the deal are unknown. The displays will be placed in the 22 washrooms of the arena, which is the home of the Canucks hockey team and the Ravens lacrosse squad. The displays will be offered to advertisers packaged with print ads in the Canucks' official magazine. "General Motors Place is a perfect extension to the existing NewAd networks, enabling us to reach avid hockey fans when they are not at home," said Brian Wyatt, NewAd's vice-president of western Canada. The venue is owned by Orca Bay Sports & Entertainment. According to NewAd, 11 million people have visited the arena since it opened in 1995.
