TORONTO STAR RELEASES NEW CLASSIFIEDS CAMPAIGN CREATIVE
By Adnews Staff
The Toronto Star released a new radio spot in its classifieds campaign this week. The campaign was created by Enterprise Creative Selling of Toronto in the spring. It promotes the newspaper's classified ads section with radio and outdoor advertising. The creative depicts situations in which people had placed products they wanted to sell in visible but improbable places. The new 30-second radio spot, which broke this week, keeps to the same theme. The ad is set at a fraternity keg party. A grandmother brings a bar fridge into the room. She then pulls out a bullhorn and says, "Attention students! Wanna keep your beer cold? Mini bar fridge with defrost! 75 bucks! Make me an offer! How about you in the Toga? Let's deal, sweet-cheeks!" The ad ends with the tagline, "Put your stuff where more students will see it. Toronto Star Classified." The ad will run for six weeks. A new print execution promoting the automotive section of the classifieds has also been created. It shows a car hanging from a crane above the downtown core. The tagline reads, "Put your stuff where more people will see it." It begins a six-week run next week.
