TSN AND FRITO LAY SEARCH FOR ULTIMATE CFL FAN

TSN and Frito Lay Canada have begun a search for the ultimate CFL fan in a contest called the "Fritos Fandemonium Ultimate Fan." The contest will run until Oct. 27 at certain CFL games. It began at last Friday's game between the Toronto Argonauts and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. One fan at each game will win a trip for two to the 2002 Grey Cup in Edmonton. A travelling Fritos Fandemonium booth will be set up outside the stadium during each game. For two hours before each game fans can enter the contest at the booth. Entrants will be judged on team colours, knowledge and spirit. A tenth winner will also win a trip to the Grey Cup through a random draw. Contestants can also enter online. A series of 30-second television commercials promoting the Ultimate Fan games dates have been created to support the contest. National in-store materials at retail locations have also been created. The list of Ultimate Fan game dates will also appear on 2.5 million bags of Fritos. The contest and supporting television ads were created in-house by TSN. The retail materials were created by Strateco Communications Group of Toronto.
