NESTLE CANADA ASSIGNS ICE CREAM ACCOUNT TO JWT
By Adnews Staff
Nestle Canada has assigned creative development and media planning responsibilities for its ice cream division to J. Walter Thompson of Toronto. Nestle has previously used the agency to promote its new Sundae Ice Cream brand. The firm received the Sundae Ice Cream assignment in the fall of 2001 and began an advertising campaign in May. "JWT proved they thoroughly understood the Nestle ice cream division and developed some great ideas for our new sundae product," said Terri Tinella, vice-president of marketing for Nestle Ice Cream. "We are confident they will continue to deliver with campaigns and programs for other products we have in the category." Nestle's Legend, Parlour, Drumstick and Haagen-Dazs brands are included in JWT's assignment. Previously Nestle's ice cream division advertising was handled by Publicis.
