AEGON CANADA SPONSORS CATRIONA LEMAY DOAN

Aegon Canada Inc. has become a sponsor of Olympic gold medallist Catriona LeMay Doan. Iliana Arapis, manager of corporate communications for Aegon Canada, would not disclose the details of the deal, but did say that Aegon hopes to forge a long-term relationship with the speed skater. As spokesperson, LeMay Doan will represent the five subsidiaries of the Toronto-based financial services company: Aegon Fund Management, Aegon Dealer Services Canada, Aegon Capital Management, Transamerica Life Canada and Money Concepts (Canada). She will participate in product promotions, charitable activities and company campaigns such as Aegon's "In the Spirit of Hope" program, Arapis said. LeMay Doan will also make personal appearance at tomorrow's Transamerica "Drive for Life" gold tournament at the Angus Glen Golf and Country Club in Markham, ON.
