CIRCUS OPENS IN EDMONTON

A new advertising agency called Circus has opened in Edmonton. The firm, which began operating the first week of July, offers strategic, creative and production services. It was founded by four former Palmer Jarvis DDB Edmonton employees: Jeff McLean, Robert Falconer, Bob Wood and Linda Cirka. McLean was formerly creative director at PJ DDB Edmonton. Falconer was senior art director, while Wood was senior writer and Cirka was creative and production services manager. According to Wood, Circus and has already begun doing project work for Intuit Canada and the Alberta government. According to the agency, the qualities of a circus, such as skill, humour, imagination and energy, are also the qualities of an effective ad agency.
