TIM HORTONS BEGINS TIMBIT CAMPAIGN

Tim Hortons of Oakville, ON has begun a new campaign to promote its timbits. Created by Enterprise Creative Selling of Toronto, the campaign highlights the double chocolate flavoured timbit. Television, radio and outdoor advertising broke on Monday accompanied by in-store materials. The television commercial opens on a father pumping gas. Seeing a box of timbits on the back seat of the car, the man reaches one hand through the half-open window. As he takes a timbit, a dog sitting in the backseat hits the power window button, trapping the man's arm. As he attempts to free himself, the family returns to the car. A voiceover says, "Timbits are now impossible to resist because double chocolate timbits give you twice the taste you love. Make them part of your snackpack." The radio ad portrays a telephone counsellor who receives a call from a timbit fan looking for support during a moment of "weakness." The commercial closes with a voiceover saying, "There's no resisting Tim Hortons' double chocolate timbits because they give you twice the chocolatey taste you love. Make them part of your snackpack." The campaign will run for four weeks.
