TBWACHIATDAY HIRED BY DIRECT ENERGY, ENBRIDGE HOME SERVICES

TBWAChiatDay of Toronto has been appointed the agency-of-record for Direct Energy and Enbridge Home Services. Both companies are owned by London, England-based energy retailer Centrica plc. TBWAChiatDay was one of two finalists in a review that considered 30 agencies. It will lead the North American marketing efforts of both Direct Energy and Enbridge Home Services. Centrica also plans to consolidate its three North American energy brands, Direct Energy and Enbridge Home Services in Canada and Energy America in the U.S., under a common branding strategy. TBWAChiatDay will also implement the North American branding strategy. Public relations for Direct Energy and Enbridge Home Services are handled by GCI Group of Toronto.
