COCA-COLA BREAKS NEW MELLO YELLO ADS

Coca Cola Co. of Atlanta, GA will break two new commercals for its Mello Yello soft drink today. The two ads will be posted on the <http://www.melloyello.com> Web site before appearing on television later this week. They are the latest in the brand's "How do you keep smooth?" campaign. The creative depicts situations in which smooth choices must be made. In the first ad a young man is asked by his girlfriend if he considers another girl cute. In the second ad a man discovers his pants have split while he is on a date. The ads were created by Berlin Cameron of New York. Officials at Toronto-based Coca Cola Ltd. could not be reached to comment on whether the ads would run in Canada. Previous advertising for the brand in Canada has been adapted from U.S. creative.
