By Adnews Staff
OptiCom Marketing Group of Oakville, ON has created a new summer promotion for Cadbury Beverages Canada called "C The World with Canada Dry & C'plus." The contest is similar to an initiative that ran last summer in which Cadbury partnered with Air Canada's Aeroplan loyalty program. This year Sony Canada has also joined the promotion. In addition to Ontario, this year the contest will also run in western Canada as well as the Yukon and Northwest Territories. The contest, which involves specially marked bottles and cases of Canada Dry and C'plus products, will run until the end of September. The grand prizes are two packages of 500,000 Aeroplan miles. Customers also receive tokens for 50 or 75 Aeroplan Miles with the purchase of a 2L bottle or 12-pack case of participating producrs. An instant win component on 600 mL and 1L bottles will give away Sony digital recorders and cameras. In-store materials and radio advertising in Ontario are promoting the contest, as is a Web site at <http://www.ctheworld.cc>. The radio advertising and media buying were also handled by OptiCom Marketing. The "C The World" Web site and POS materials were created by Lampo Communications of Toronto. The packaging design was done by Anthem Group of Toronto.
