MACLAREN MCCANN CANADA PROMOTES TURNEY TO PRESIDENT, COSSETTE HIRES CARUSO

MacLaren McCann Canada Inc. has promoted Douglas Turney to president and chief operating officer. Turney is currently general manager. He replaces Dominic Caruso, who has resigned as president and chief executive officer of the agency to take a similar position at Cossette Toronto. Turney will assume responsibility for the day-to-day management of the agency and its related communications divisions. Tony Miller, chairman of MacLaren McCann Canada and vice-chairman of McCann-Erickson WorldGroup, will take on the additional position of chief executive officer of the Canadian agency. Caruso's appointment as president of Cossette Toronto and executive vice-president of Cossette Communication Group goes into effect next month. He replaces acting president Bill Durnan, who will lead the company's recently opened strategic planning division Nucleus.
