SECOND CUP PROMOTES CHILLATTES

Toronto-based Second Cup will introduce a new espresso-based iced beverage on May 18 called Chillattes. The drink will come in three flavours: coffee, caramel and mocca. On May 18 customers will be offered a trial size sample of the beverage and a buy-one-get-one-free coupon. Second Cup has also partnered with Blockbuster Canada to promote the product. Until June 30, a customer who purchases a Chillatte will receive a coupon for a free seven-day Blockbuster movie rental with the rental of any new release. Also, customers who rent a new release at Blockbuster will receive a buy-one-get-one-free coupon for a Chillatte. Banner ads in major newspapers, transit advertising in Toronto and Montreal and in-store materials will promote Chillattes. The winner of an online contest at <http://www.secondcup.com> will receive one free specialty coffee and one free movie rental a week for a year. Advertising for Second Cup is done by Holmes & Lee.
