BLUEBERRY ASSOCIATION PROMOTES POWER OF BLUE

The Wild Blueberry Association of North America has begun a new campaign called "Power of Blue". The association is a trade group of growers and processors of wild blueberries from Maine, Atlantic Canada and Quebec. Its new consumer marketing and communications campaign focuses on the colour blue and the potential health benefits of wild blueberries. Print ads in national women's magazines in Canada and the U.S. including Canadian Living and Health Magazine are aimed at a target market of women over 35 years of age with an interest in health and nutrition. The campaign will also use online and trade advertising as well as public relations to reach its secondary market of aging baby boomers. Advertising and public relations for the association are handled by Swardlick Marketing Group of Portland, ME.
