PARASUCO LOSES ADS TO THEFT
By Adnews Staff
Montreal-based Parasuco Jeans Inc. has had a number of transit shelter posters stolen since its spring advertising campaign began last month. The creative depicts rain falling on models wearing in Parasuco jeans. The campaign, which will run until June 1, also includes print ads in magazines including Flare, Elle Quebec and Elle Canada along with transit shelter ads. According to Tuti Do, marketing and communications director for Parasuco, about two weeks into the campaign the company was notified its posters were disappearing. Additional copies of the ads were sent out to replace the missing posters. Because there the number of extra ads available is limited, plans to print additional copies are being considered, Do said. Advertising for Parasuco is done in-house. Parasuco also experienced trouble with its advertising campaign last year when its ads were banned in Toronto. That campaign's creative depicted a model wearing low-rise jeans.
