CANADIAN TIRE CAMPAIGN GETS STARTED

Toronto-based Canadian Tire introduced its new "Lets Get Started" tagline during the Academy Awards broadcast on Sunday night. The new campaign, in conjunction with the start of retailer's spring selling season, promotes Canadian Tire as a place where customers go to to start a new season, project or sport, said Eymbert Vaandering, vice-president of marketing for Canadian Tire. Two of the three spots in the campaign debuted on Sunday: a 60-second umbrella spot using the song "I'll Start With You" and a 30-second spot which tells a story. Advertising for Canadian Tire is done by Doner Canada of Toronto.
