CAMPBELLS RELEASES NEW SPOT WITH CAMPBELL KIDS

Toronto-based Campbell Soup Co. has released a new television commercial for its Ready-to-Serve soup line. The 30-second spot makes use of the company's Campbell Kids characters which first appeared in Canadian-specific creative last year. The new spot, called "Slurp", began running in Ontario on Monday. It is the fourth in the campaign. Like the other ads, it combines live action with animation. In it, a father and son sit at a table slurping soup. The Campbell Kids characters end the spot with the line "This is the Campbells you know and love, but have you tried Campbell's Ready-to-Serve? M'm, m'm, good!" The spot will run until March. More ads will follow, according to the company. Advertising for Campbell's Soup is done by BBDO. Public relations are handled by Environics Communications. Both of these firms are based in Toronto.
