NEW BOSS AT AMMIRATI PURIS
By Adnews Staff
Jeff Finkler has been promoted to chairman and chief executive officer of Toronto-based Ammirati Puris. He joined the agency in October as chief creative officer from Saatchi & Saatchi. He replaces Neil Everett, who has resigned as president and chief executive officer three months after taking the job. He was previously at Toronto-based Shoppers Drug Mart. In a statement, Tony Miller, vice chairman of McCann-Erickson Worldgroup, said the group continues to support the Ammirati Puris brand in Canada. "Recent business losses have created the demand for a more streamlined management structure for the agency, with a clear focus on maintaining the creative excellence that has always been the foundation of Ammirati Puris," the statement said. In recent months Ammirati has lost several clients including Labatt, Loblaw Companies Ltd., Fuji Photo Film Canada and Canada Bread. The agency also resigned the Sears Canada account.
