Toronto-based Scott Thornley + Company has been appointed agency of record for The National Ballet School. The agency will manage the school's strategic branding program. The Toronto-based school has 150 students attending its professional ballet and academic program in grades five to 12, in addition to students in post-secondary intensive dance, teacher training programs, after-school and adult classes. "Our goals are to communicate the school's leadership position in dance education and to support Project Grand Jeté, a major initiative to create school facilities on the former CBC property on Jarvis Street," said Robert Sirman, administrative director of the National Ballet School. Scott Thornley will also develop a marketing strategy for the school as it undertakes a new capital campaign. Scott Thornley won the business following an agency review which also included Manifest Communications and Bruce Mau Design, both of Toronto. Previously the account was handled in-house.
