DOMINION INFORMATION SERVICES PROMOTES SUPERPAGES DIRECTORIES IN TORONTO
By Adnews Staff
Dominion Information Services of Burnaby, BC is promoting the launch of its new Superpages directory in Toronto with a consumer contest. Distribution of more than a million copies of the directory to residents of the city began on Nov. 27. "Superpages offers Torontonians one book for one city and is designed for Canada's biggest market," said Scott Laver, vice-president and general manager of Dominion Information Services. Contest forms on the inside cover of the book ask a series of questions on the directory itself. Once consumers find the answers to questions such as "How many maps does the directory include?", they can mail in the form for a chance to win a $5,000 shopping spree at any one of the display advertisers in the book. There are roughly 3,700 display ads in the directory. Print, radio, transit and outdoor advertising are promoting the Toronto directory. The campaign uses the tagline "One City One Book" and will run until January. Advertising for Dominion Information Services is done by Palmer Jarvis DDB. Public relations are handled by BenchMark Porter Novelli.
