MEXICO TOURISM BOARD INCREASES BUDGET FOR NORTH AMERICAN PROMOTIONS

The Mexico Tourism Board has had its budget increased by 35%. The organization was created last year to promote tourism to that country. The board will use four agencies for a North American campaign to promote travel to Mexico during the winter season: McCann-Erickson, which will handle advertising; Fleishman-Hillard, which will handle public relations; iSky Customer Relationship Associates, which will provide direct customer services; and Destination Ventures, which will offer travel agency training seminars. The campaigns will aim to portray Mexico as a close, safe and friendly tourist destination.
