CANADA POST TO DELIVER BIGGEST HOLIDAY CAMPAIGN TO DATE
By Adnews Staff
Canada Post and its advertising agency BCP Canada are preparing the organization's largest holiday campaign to date. The integrated promotion uses the tagline "Canada Post Delivers the Holidays." The creative uses the image of Santa Claus' black boots. These can be seen on postal vehicles and certain mail boxes. The mail box creative also promotes the corporation's Santa Letter Writing program for kids. In-store materials in postal outlets will include counter wraps, posters, danglers and floor decals. An in-store and online sweepstakes will offer consumers the chance to win $50,000. A national fundraising program called "Canada Post's Warmest Wishes Boot Fund" will use $1.00 from every Hallmark Holiday Keepsake sold to provide warm clothing and boots to families in need. A holiday flyer will be sent to three million Canadian households describing the fundraising program, Canada Post's holiday products and the sweepstakes. A second fold-out brochure promoting the <http://www.canadapost.ca/giftideas> Web site has also been created. Additional marketing support will include print advertising and a series of radio ads and public service announcements. "One of our key strategies is to build a strong corporate master brand and this is the first time we've rolled all our marketing efforts under an integrated brand umbrella campaign that truly reflects our role as Canada's trusted holiday delivery expert," said Sandra Sanderson, general manager of brand marketing for Canada Post. Public relations for Canada Post are handled by Strategic Objectives of Toronto.
