DUNKIN' DONUTS BACKS SPONSORSHIP WITH PROMOTION

Allied Domecq International's Dunkin' Donuts chain is sponsoring The Documentaire, a television series to be broadcast on the TVA network. The five-show series, which will air Mondays at 8:00 p.m. from October 22 to November 19, will consist of highlights from performances by French-language comedy group Rock et Belles Oreilles, which reaches its 20th anniversary this year. The comedy group broke up five years ago. In support of its sponsorship and to raise awareness of the program, Dunkin' Donuts and 7 jours magazine are running a promotion from October 15 to November 19. Readers of the magazine fill out a test called "Comment mangez-vous vos beignes (How do you eat your donuts?) drop it off at a participating Dunkin' Donuts location. Several prizes will be awarded each week. At the end of the promotion one entrant will win a one-week vacation for two, with a choice of destinations, every year for five years. Thirty-second television ads during The Documentaire series and a campaign on the TVA network will support the promotion. The advertising was created by TVA in collaboration with Palm Publicite Marketing of Montreal, which handles advertising for Dunkin' Donuts.
