TOSHIBA HIRES MEDIA PROFILE

Toshiba of Canada, Information Systems Group, based in Markham, ON, has appointed Media Profile its new public relations agency of record. The appointment ends a seven-year relationship between Toshiba and incumbent agency Environics Communications. "Our relationship with Environics has been most positive, but a conflict emerged between client products that made this change necessary," said Mary Anne Yule, vice-president of marketing for Toshiba of Canada Information Systems Group. The conflicting client has not been disclosed. Public relations activities for the group involve the introduction of mobile computing products to the Canadian market. Media Profile was one two agencies that had been shortlisted for the account.
