GLOBE AND MAIL TAKES ACCOUNT IN-HOUSE
By Adnews Staff
The Globe and Mail has taken its advertising account in-house. The account had been with Toronto-based BBDO Canada and OMD for the past two and a half years. "Given both the economic situation and the synergies we have been able to develop and establish with our sister companies in Bell Globemedia, we sadly have to part ways with OMD and BBDO," said Phillip Crawley, chief executive officer and publisher of The Globe and Mail. He also said the newspaper would not be hiring another agency of record in the near future.
