HUDSON'S BAY COMPANY ADS EXTEND SYMPATHIES TO U.S.

Toronto-based Hudson's Bay Company placed full-page ads in major daily newspapers including the National Post and The Globe and Mail yesterday offering its condolences following attacks in Washington and New York on Tuesday morning. The ads, created in-house, read "The 70,000 people of Hudson's Bay Company are overcome with grief at the tragic events that occurred in the United States on September 11. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families and we extend our deepest sympathies."
