JAALAM TECHNOLOGIES APPOINTS WAGGENER EDSTROM AGENCY OF RECORD

Jaalam Technologies of Burnaby, BC has named Waggener Edstrom, based in Portland, OR, its North American public relations agency of record. Jaalam makes network software aimed at large companies. Waggener Edstrom specializes in technology and science accounts. Its clients include BioLab, In-Q-My Technologies, Microsoft, SAP AG and Universal Electronics. Wayne Browne, director of marketing for Jaalam, said the company met with a number of Canadian and U.S. agencies before shortlising Waggener and two other U.S. firms. "Waggener Edstrom's commitment impressed us," he said. "The agency has the reputation, the creativity and the right mix of personality and business skills." Previously Jaalam handled its public relations in-house. The account will be serviced primarily out of Waggener's Seattle office.
