PALM PICKS UP LABATT'S POPULAR PRICE PORTFOLIO

Labatt Breweries of Canada has awarded Montreal-based Palm Publicite Marketing its "popular price portfolio" which includes the Labatt Extra Dry, Lucky Lager, Wildcat and P.C. brands. Palm currently works on Labatt's Budweiser, Wildcat and Boomerang brands in Quebec. It was that work which won the agency this assignment. Palm will handle creative advertising and media planning for all of Canada. According to the brewer, this is the first time a Quebec-based agency will work on national brands for Labatt. Two-year incumbent Axmith McIntyre Wicht of Toronto will continue to handle Labatt's Responsible Use campaigns. Public relations for Labatt are handled by Weber Shandwick Worldwide.
