HYATT BOOKS WEB ASSIGNMENT AT CRITICAL MASS

Chicago-based Hyatt Hotels Corporation has hired Calgary-based Critical Mass to redesign its Hyatt.com Web site and network of 40 North American Web sites including www.spahyatt.com and www.golfhyattcom. Critical Mass won the assignment over a number of firms following a request for proposals. The hotel chain opened the Hyatt.com Web site in 1996. Critical Mass will be responsible for designing and developing a technology platform which will, according to the hotel chain, incorporate Hyatt's Web sites in North America to provide unified design, functionality and content. Critical Mass will also work with Rapp Collins Worldwide to further integrate the Gold Passport customer loyalty program with the Hyatt.com site. Rapp Collins manages the marketing communication, database applications and related activities for the Gold Passport program. Hyatt.com is the global Web site for the chain's 203 properties worldwide.
