CANADIAN PR SOCIETY ELECTS BOARD

The Canadian Public Relations Society has picked its 2001/2002 board of directors. Tony Iavarone, director of public relations and communications for The Cumis Group Ltd. of Burlington, ON, has been elected president. Daniel Granger, senior vice-president of technology for Edelman Public Relations Worldwide of Montreal, will act as president elect. Lisa Homer, principal of LCH Relations of Calgary, has been elected vice-president. Germaine Marie Lemoine, public information officer for the Joint Action Group on Environmental Clean-up in Sydney, Nova Scotia, has been elected treasurer. Robyn Quinn, a public relations consultant based in Victoria, BC, has been elected secretary. Sarah Jones, director of communications for the Minister of Consumer & Business Services, is past president.
