PEPSI BALANCES TASTE CHALLENGE RADIO SPOTS
By Adnews Staff
Pepsi-Cola Canada Ltd. of Mississauga has expanded its campaign for the Pepsi Taste Challenge. A series of six 30-second radio spots began running yesterday which use the left and right stereo channels to allow listeners to vote for their favourite cola. By turning the balance button on the radio to the left or the right, the listener controls which speaker will deliver the audio. Depending on which way the button is turned, a listener will get a different message from the announcer. If the listener doesn't turn the button at all, both of the announcer's responses will be heard at the same time. The spots will run in major markets in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia during the summer. Advertising for Pepsi-Cola Canada is done by BBDO of Toronto. Public relations are handled by Praxis Public Relations of Burlington, ON.
