FUJIFILM OPENS EYES WITH NEW CAMPAIGN

Fujifilm Canada of Mississauga broek a new advertising campaign called "Open Your Eyes" yesterday. The mutlimedia effort, created by Toronto's Ammirati Puris, presents photography as a creative outlet for consumers of any skill level. A 30-second television spot that takes place in a downtown parking lot began airing yesterday. The spot opens with images of a small pool of water, a drain and a collection of flyers posted on a wall. As the spot continues a man walks in front of a red brick wall, a skateboard flips in the air and a woman runs to her car as it begins to rain. The spot ends with the line, "Even a parking lot can be beautiful. Fujifilm. Open Your Eyes." The spot will run for eight weeks on Canadian networks. A 60-second version is also running in Famous Player cinemas in Canada. Television advertising is being supported with print and billboard advertising and an online campaign, all using the "Open Your Eyes" theme. Public relations for Fujifilm are done by APEX Public Relations of Toronto.
