UNPLUGGEDTV OPENS FOR BUSINESS

UnpluggedTV, a Toronto-based digital design studio, opens its doors this week. The studio was founded earlier this year by Richard D'Alessio, Linzi Knight and Andy Knight. Specializing in animation and Web site design for online advertising and entertainment, UnpluggedTV is pitching itself as a creative resource for advertising agencies. "The industry has changed over the last decade. Part of that change has been the growth and maturing of interactive advertising," said D'Alessio. "This new medium has evolved to become the entertainment vehicle that agencies were looking for. It has provided a new venue for advertising's storytellers and a more flexible medium for the industry's abstract and creative concept thinkers." UnpluggedTV has already completed assignments for Pepsi and its agency BBDO and AT&T and its agency Wunderman. The studio will also seek work from businesses which may not have an agency.
