WORKPLACE SAFETY BOARD BREAKS SUMMER CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
The Ontario Workplace Safety and Insurance Board is using a multimedia advertising campaign to foster safety awareness. The summer campaign has been running for three years now, targeting young people 15- to 24-years-of-age. Radio spots, print ads in urban weeklies in Hamilton, Kitchener, St. Catharines, London, Ottawa and Niagara Falls, transit advertising on Toronto's TTC and cinema advertising in Cineplex and Famous Players theatres are asking the question "How Safe is Your Job?" The creative relates true stories of young people and their families who have experienced workplace injuries. The campaign is breaking in conjunction with the end of most school years as young people head to summer jobs or their first full-time job after finishing school, said Perry Jensen, spokesperson for the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. The campaign, created by Toronto's Fuel Advertising, will run until Labour Day.
