HOTEL CHAIN HOLDS REVIEW
By Adnews Staff
U.S.-based Westin Hotels and Resorts has put its account up for grabs after leaving it with Cole & Weber of Seattle for five years. The move follows the sale of the hotel chain to Starwood Capital Group and Goldman, Sachs & Company earlier this year. Also, Westin has a new CEO and chairman, Jurgen Bartels. Cole & Weber will participate in the review along with several other unnamed agencies. A decision is expected in mid-January. In Canada, all creative and media buying comes from the U.S. agency. Westin's Canadian ad budget for 1996 is $2 million.
