MOJO FLOWS ON MONDAY

Toronto-based Corus Entertainment is changing the format of its TALK 640 AM radio station in Toronto on Monday morning. The station will now present itself as talk radio for guys. MOJO RADIO will target men 25- to 54-years-of-age with an interactive audio forum where they can "discuss, debate and salute" topics such as health and fitness, sex, sports, careers, investment tips, gear, gadgets and cars. Corus Entertainment has also teamed up with Sportsnet Ontario in a separate deal in which Sportsnet will provide syndicated sports programming to MOJO and all of Corus' AM and FM stations in Ontario. "MOJO RADIO is a pure shot of audio testosterone," said Jim Johnston, general manager of Corus Radio Toronto and vice-president of programming for Corus Radio Ontario. The station will also be Web cast at <http://www.mojoradio.com>. A multi-media advertising campaign from The Crichton Kim-Kirkland Company of Toronto will promote the station's new format. Television, outdoor, transit and bathroom advertising will break in Toronto beginning next week. Radio promotion on Corus-owned rock stations Q107 and Edge 102 will also be used. Public relations for MOJO RADIO are being handled by Buzz Marketing & Public Relations of Toronto.
