ONTARIO TOYOTA DEALERS PROMOTE RED TAG EVENT

The Ontario Toyota Dealers are promoting their annual Red Tag sale with three new television commercials. The spots were created by Gee, Jeffery & Partners and continue with the "Real People" theme used last year. This year the campaign features Kenny, an enthusiastic promotion manager. In the ads, Kenny pitches several "inventive but wacky" promotional ideas to the dealers, who are stunned into silence by his suggestions. According to Alan Gee, executive creative director at Gee, Jeffery, "We wanted to use these spots to break through the clutter and bring home the premise that Toyota dealers don't need hype to promote an event." Television advertising during network and local programming is being supported by radio and print executions. The campaign runs until the end of May.
