BURGER KING CAMPAIGN TO GIVE WHOPPER PERSONALITY

A new advertising campaign for Miami-based Burger King Corporation focuses on the chain's Whopper sandwich. "The Whopper Says" campaign is the first effort from McCann-Erickson of New York, which won the account in January. The television campaign consists of two 30-second spots that are designed to give the Whopper a personality. The spots, called "Community Property" and "Anniversary", also introduce a new logo and the tagline "In the Land of Burgers, Whopper is King." The campaign is running nationally in the U.S. on network and cable television.
