BURGER KING CREATES WINNING PROMOTION

Burger King Restaurants of Canada will kick-off a promotion called "Win a Windstar" on February 26. During the roll up the rim promotion, every customer who orders a soft drink will win a prizes. Prizes include five 2001 Ford Windstar Sport Vans, ten Sony Playstation 2 consoles and games, 25 Sony Playstation 1 consoles and games, as well as Burger King menu items. The month-long promotion is running at all 342 Burger King restaurants in Canada. Television and radio advertising, focusing on the fact that every cup is a winner, breaks on March 5 for a two-week run. Created by Toronto's Ammirati Puris, the ads will be accompanied by in-restaurant POP materials debuting on February 26 from Segal Communications, also of Toronto. Media relations are being handled in-house by Burger King.
