AGF HOWLS IN NEW SPOT
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based AGF is again asking Canadians "What are you doing after work?" in another execution of its "Eventually Everyone Retires" campaign. The spot, created by TBWA/Chiat/Day of Toronto, is the latest in a line of AGF spots that first began running in 1998. Previous ads depicted the retirements of Santa Claus, Spiderman and the Incredible Hulk. The campaign is intended to portray retirement as something that everyone must think about at some point in their lives. The new spot shows a werewolf and a woman at a masquerade ball on a cruise ship. The costumed pair dance with other guests. Later, the women removes her makeup while the werewolf emerges from the shower. The spot ends with the werewolf on the ship's deck in a scene from the movie Titanic. The spot began running on February 13. It will run throughout the year with along with the ads involving the Incredible Hulk and Thing from the television show The Adams Family.
