GREY WORLDWIDE TAKES COAST FOUNDATION TO THE EDGE

Coast Foundation, a Vancouver non-profit organization that provides services and support for people living with mental illness, broke its first ever television commercial earlier this month. "Over the edge" was created pro bono by Grey Worldwide of Vancouver. The awareness effort features a distressed man walking on the edge of a cliff. As he begins to stumble, a hand is seen reaching out at the last second, preventing his fall. According to Grey's creative director Jeff Lewis, the agency's inspiration for the spot came from a vivid description provided by an individual who's lived with mental illness. Grey first worked with Coast Foundation last year when it helped create a new corporate identity and logo for the organization. Four stations including BCTV, Global, VTV and CBC have committed to run the spot in the BC market.
