GRAMMY CONTESTS GIVES FANS TWO WAYS TO WIN

Toronto-based Lynn Communications, AOR for the Grammy Awards in Canada, launched two national contests this week. Participating in one or both of the contests is Global TV, EMI Music, HMV Canada, National Post and TV Guide. The "Watch-Win-Fly" contest began yesterday and runs until Feb. 21. To enter, viewers locate the skill testing question appearing in the National Post from Feb. 7 to Feb. 21. The answer will be revealed during the broadcast of Grammy Awards on Feb. 21. In Canada the awards show will be seen nationally on Global TV and in Ontario on ONtv. Ballot entries are located online at <http://www.globaltv.com>. The winner will be awarded a trip for two to next year's Grammy Awards. The "Great Grammy Artist Concert" contest broke Tuesday and is running until March 13. One winner and a guest will get the chance to see a 2001 Grammy Award nominee perform live in a concert somewhere in North America. Ballot entries are available in HMV stores and online at <http://www.hmv.com>. Both contests are being supported with television advertising. In-store POP and a print ad in TV Guide will also be used to promote the "Great Grammy Artist Concert" contest. Advertising was created and produced by the contest participants and Lynn Communications. Also, the Feb. 17 issue of TV Guide will be a specially produced Grammy issue featuring a 4-way split cover. The TV Guide Grammy issue will be distributed in HMV stores throughout Toronto.
