GALLOP & GALLOP EXPANDS FLOORMEDIA NETWORK

Toronto-based Gallop & Gallop is expanding the Floormedia network it acquired two weeks ago into just under 300 Imperial Oil Tiger Express convenience stores and gas bars. "This agreement with Imperial Oil is particularly exciting as it represents our first opportunity to market advertising in a major oil company's convenience outlets," said George Evans, executive vice-president at Gallop. The Floormedia network consists of floor-mounted advertising faces in convenience store chains. Imperial's Tiger Express and Tigermarket convenience store chains join Becker's, Mac's, Couche-Tard, Mike's Mart, Daisy Mart, Winks, Quickie, Avondale and Little Short Stop among the group of convenience stores belonging to the Floormedia network. Gallop & Gallop acquired the Floormedia network from QVS Instore Inc. earlier this month. The addition of the Tiger Express chain brings the total number of convenience stores in the network to 8,000 across Canada.
