TELUS MOBILITY QUACKS IN NEW CAMPAIGN

Calgary-based Telus Mobility has undertaken its first advertising campaign since acquiring Toronto-based Clearnet last fall and merging the two wireless operations. The campaign promotes the introduction of a new wireless email service for users of the Mike and Clearnet PCS networks called TELUSmail. TELUSmail lets customers send and receive email text messages on their phones. This service joins the wireless email service offered to Telus Mobility customers in Western Canada called i-Web Microbrowser. Advertising for TELUSmail debuted Sunday during broadcasts of Super Bowl XXXV and Survivor II: The Australian Outback. The campaign's creative combines the duck from Clearnet's past ads with Telus branding. The campaign will roll out nationally in February with television, print and outdoor advertising. Taxi Advertising & Design of Toronto handles advertising for Telus Mobility. Taxi previously handled Clearnet's account.
