BENCHMARK WORKS WITH PROSTATE CANCER RESEARCH FOUNDATION

BenchMark Porter Novelli of Toronto has won a public education campaign assignment from the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation of Canada. The agency won the business following a competitive bidding process with an unknown number of agencies. Previously the Toronto-based foundation handled its public relations activities in-house. BenchMark will provide the foundation with a national public and media relations plan and strategic counsel. The agency will promote the foundation as a source of information for prostate cancer and will help generate funds for prostate cancer research. The public education campaign will run throughout the year with a focus planned for the month of June to coincide with Father's Day. Other awareness efforts are planned, including the re-launch of the foundation's Web site at <http://www.prostatecancer.on.ca>. Phase one of the re-design rolls out next month. Phase two, incorporating an interactive element, will roll out in June.
