EDS CONCLUDES ADVERTISING TRILOGY WITH SUPER BOWL SPOT

Toronto-based EDS Canada will conclude an advertising trilogy this weekend when "Running with the Squirrels." airs on the Global Television Network Sunday evening during the pre-game show for Super Bowl XXXV. The 60-second spot is the third in a series that began during last year's Super Bowl with the "Herding Cats" spot. "Running with the Squirrels" parodies the annual Running of the Bulls at the San Fermin Festival in Spain. The spot is designed to use humor to illustrate EDS' ability to help companies manage the complexities of the digital economy. "Running with the Squirrels" was created by Fallon of Minneapolis, MN. Media buying was handled by Bates Canada of Toronto. James Toccacelli, vice president of marketing and communications for EDS Canada, said plans for the spot to run beyond the Super Bowl have not yet been confirmed. The second spot in the trilogy, "Airplane", did not run in Canada.
