MARKETEL MOVES MEDIA TO UNIVERSAL

The media department of Montreal-based Marketel is joining the M2 Universal Canada network, operating under parent Universal McCann, which is the media buying operations arm of McCann-Erickson. "The addition of our Quebec operation provides us with a unique coast-to-coast network of M2 Universal offices," said M2 Universal president Hugh Dow. "As one of the largest media buyers in the country this enables us to more effectively address the growing concentration of Canadian media ownership." According to Marketel, management reporting responsibilities remain unchanged.
