BENCHMARK PORTER NOVELLI PROMOTES PILE OF PR PEOPLE

Toronto-based public relations agency BenchMark Porter Novelli has bumped a collection of people up the ladder. Former senior consultant Rina Cortese has been named manager of the corporate accounts global practice, providing strategic counsel to Hummingbird Communications, CCL Industries, Carswell and CIBC division Amicus. Former senior consultant Jenny Hewlett is now manager of the healthcare practice, handling clients including Whitehall Robins, MDS Sciex, Prostate Cancer Research Foundation of Canada and Advance Research Technology. Leigh Shand has been promoted from consultant to senior consultant in the healthcare practice, servicing MDS Sciex and Advance. Tom Giantsopoulos is now a consultant in the consumer technology practice, working with Hewlett-Packard (Canada), canada.com and Xircom Inc. Jenna Hunter is now a consultant in the consumer practice, working with TheSteelAlliance, Look Good Feel Better, Alliance Atlantis and Bandai America. Jennifer Stein is now a consultant in the e-business practice, working with Hummingbird and LoopNet Canada. Jenny Vasiloff is now a consultant in the consumer practice, working with Polaroid Canada and the Beaches International Jazz Festival. John Sajur is now a consultant in the corporate hardware practice, working with Hewlett-Packard. Giantsopoulos, Hunter, Stein, Vasiloff and Sajur were all previously co-ordinators. Finally, Kristy Bailey has been promoted from assistant to co-ordinator, primarily working with Celestica.
